Joining the league here at Texas Axe is like joining a family! For 8 weeks, come enjoy a cold drink while competing for the Championship Trophy. The new official season starts again in January 2023 (info below).
How 2023 Official Leagues works:
For the first 7 weeks, compete in 4 matches each week against fellow league members. The number of throws varies by league (see more below). The 8th week is a Double Elimination WATL Tournament. The top throwers are rewarded points toward eligibility of competing at the ESPN-televised World Championship in December.
In 2023 we will be offering a variety of league opportunities.

When axe throwing started trending, the World Axe Throwing League was created in 2017 to standardize official rules with the goal to elevate the sport to the next level.
The purpose of World Axe Throwing League is to unify the sport of urban axe throwing. As an affiliate, we at Texas Axe Throwing offer 4 official WATL leagues per year, along with several unofficial leagues to help hone your skills.
Texas Axe Throwing has been affiliated with WATL since opening in 2019. Our leagues are great for all levels of experience. There is no better place to learn and improve than with our league family!

Knife throwing as a sport is newer to the throwing community than axe throwing. On it's second year, WKTL is the leading knife throwing competition. World Knife Throwing League's goal is to standardize knife throwing as a competitive sport.
Texas Axe Throwing added Knife throwing in Spring of 2022 and will offer all 4 official WKTL league season in 2023.We are offering Knife Throwing Leagues on Sundays and Tuesday along with our regular axe throwing leagues.

Thrower will throw from distances of 10 foot and 15 foot using WKTL approved knives. Following traditional WATL set up, the first 7 weeks include 4 - 10 throw matches per thrower, minimum 40 throws per night. The final, 8th week will be a double elimination tournament.
This is a traditional 8 Week League where a single thrower competes in 4 matches of 10 throws per week. The final, 8th week will be a double elimination tournament.
In this 8 Week League, single throwers will only throw axes that follow WATL Big Axe regulations. Each match will consist of 5 throws. The final, 8th week will be a double elimination tournament.
MARATHON LEAGUE
This league consists of teams of 2 throwers compete in matches of 5 throws per thrower. Texas Axe is offering a Duals Marathon League every official season in 2023. The first one is January 21, 2023!
